“I recommend investing in a pair of new shades because R.I.Peter’s newest releases, “Cruis’n” and “Rising Sun”, will brighten your life. Put on a fresh pot of coffee and take a drive while you listen and catch up with the sun. She misses you.

You need to go for a “Cruis’n”. With each step towards your car, the sound of slick guitar licks and far-out bass beats builds until your calloused hand reaches the silver handle. Turning on the ignition, you feel an omnipresent synth as you coast down the road -- no destination in mind. You roll down the window, put your hand outside, and feel the light airy drums flutter over your fingers, like a vagabond, as you try to capture its boundless blithe. Clearing your head, you have to “figure out if our love is true.” Sadly, life is not as straightforward and clear-cut as the road you are riding. Distant vocals reverberate off the windshield and question: “Is she the one you want?” “Is he the one you want?” “Are they the one you want?” “Am I the one you want?” Unsure of where you both are going, you know “it's time to figure out who [they] really are.” Sitting at a stoplight, a groovy saxophone pulls up next to you, letting you know you aren’t the only one waiting there. Dazzling chimes and glowing synths appear ahead on the horizon. Revving your engine, you are ready to find out where you’re going.

Seamlessly transitioning into “Rising Sun”, you have arrived - and the destination is wherever you are right now. A calming chorus bathed in sunlit synth and balmy bangs on the snare drum bring you back down to earth in an effort to remind you what warmth feels like washing over your face and in your ears. Acoustic strums call dawn and her sparkle welcomes the sense that “there’s nothing for [you] now, but the rising sun.” Enjoying her presence each morning, knowing that she will always leave. You accept “there’s nothing to do now, but weather the storm,” because each day she will come back. Hums, like rays of light, beam down as you acknowledge this way of life. Pulsing drums sync with your heartbeat while you watch time pass and the sun rise. “Everything will still be here when we’re gone.” A part of you freezes upon this realization, but you look next to you, see her, and say, “there’s no need to worry with you by my side.” You are warm for now. Introducing soft guitar, the melody changes -- like most things, and people, too. Both transient and often seemingly monotonous, life is both long and short. “But in the end [you] know love will bloom.”  And guess what? You get to get up tomorrow and do it all over again.

P.S.

Tell the sun I say hi :)”
