Liam Kazar - "Frank Bacon"

LIAM KAZAR - “FRANK BACON”

Whimsically matter-of-fact, Liam Kazar’s newest release “Frank Bacon” announces his forthcoming debut album titled Due North out 8/6 via Woodsist / Mare Records (Kevin Morby’s Woodist imprint). Having toured and collaborated with artists like Jeff Tweedy, Chance the Rapper, Steve Gunn, Daniel Johnston, and others, he’s stepping out on his own, creating a sound akin to the feeling of looking across a vast landscape with much to explore.

The formerly Chicago-based musician now resides in Kansas City and it shows in the single’s music video which follows Kazar around KC’s West Bottoms, even featuring the city’s famous Western Auto sign. Layered guitar riffs with a slight twang coupled with candid vocals build a full feeling of hope. Exceptionally grounded and accepting of the ebb and flow found within relationships he sings “Keepin’ my feet on solid ground / I’m never gonna let you down.” Liam Kazar’s “Frank Bacon” certainly does not disappoint and It’s clear there’s much more to look forward to on the horizon.
