POLYMER MERCIES - “POLYMER MERCIES”

Polymer Mercies' recently released self-titled album is post-punk perfection. Within its 10 mosh-worthy tracks are serrated guitar licks so sharp it’ll make you think twice before touching the blade and bass so deep you’ll want to dive right into its depth. Lilting, head-bobbing rhythms induce an effect akin to standing in a crowd at a show tapping your foot in the front row, feeling the physical beat in your chest -- actually present. Low vocals compel listeners to keep listening in a trance-like intensity that sticks in their lead long after the song ends. You can find yourself captured in the record’s instrumentally like the guitar solo in “White Cheddar”, the bass in “Present”, and drum fills in “Blue Lighter.” A force to be reckoned with, and listened to, Polymer Mercies’ new self-titled record is pure potency fit for every punk.
