Eggs on Mars - "Brighter Now" LP

EGGS ON MARS - “BRIGHTER NOW” LP

Eggs on Mars's new record, Brighter Now, nestles itself in between solace in soft indie rock steeped in subtle beach twang and deep emotional oceans inhabited by schools of thought worth diving in for. Like the title suggests, this third LP takes a more upbeat tone compared to their sophomore album, It Will Be Like It Was, which was released back in 2019. A progress-full juxtaposition in thematic elements, listeners will be happy to hear the band’s familiar instrumentation welcome you to a new, brighter era.

Tracks like “Fingers & Lips”, “All That I See”, and “Brighter Now” a complex growth into new love, whether that be with someone or something, Although the record has hints of golden growth, it would not be complete without glimpses of the introspective darkness seen in the previous LP. Lyrically profound, tinges of the melancholia found in overthinking come to the surface in “More”, “Oil Spill Rainbow”, and “Hand Tools”.

Always a listening pleasure, Eggs on Mars have a special sound worth leaning in and listening close for, especially on their conscious and concise third full-length record, Brighter Now, which will indeed brighten your life if you let it.
